The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Career Services Centre in collaboration with the International Programmes Office (IPO) held a meeting with representatives from Carleton University, Ontario, Canada on Friday, 24th February 2023 at the College of Engineering Board Room.
The purpose of the meeting, according to Mrs. Selina Angmor, the Director of the Centre, was to explore potential areas of partnership that would benefit students from both universities. The goal was to provide students with the necessary support and opportunities to develop their careers.
Mrs. Angmor disclosed that the partnership will establish a platform that will provide opportunities for Ghanaian students to be exposed through internship in Canada. She further noted that the partnership between KNUST and Carleton University will facilitate the exchange and sharing of research knowledge. She added the possibility of remote work opportunities for Ghanaian/Canadian students and alumni of both Universities in Ghana and Canada.
The Dean of Carleton University’s School of Business, Professor Dana Brown, on behalf of the team, expressed enthusiasm about the exchange program and hoped for a fruitful collaboration that will greatly benefit both Universities.
Also present at the meeting were Professor Daniel Y. A. Duah, the Dean of the International Programmes Office (IPO) at KNUST, Professor Isaac Otchere, Carleton School of Business and Mawuena Torkornoo, Manager of External Relations.
